I finally got some cleaning and organizing of my craft works space done this past week. It looks good. You can see some before and after pictures at the end of this post. I still have a lot more to do. I really need to purge my supplies. I've got a bunch of stuff that I haven't touched in years. It needs to go. After all the cleaning I did manage to get some work done.
Making progress on Beginner's Quilt Along. Block 7. I never remember the names of the blocks, I just know them by number. We've got 5 more blocks left. I feel like I'm getting much better at lining up my seams. Practice makes perfect.
I finally started sewing together Oh Lucy! I'm sewing and pressing as I go. I feel like that makes it much easier. I'm doing my best to line up the seams. So far, so good. I've had to stretch some of the pieces a bit to make them match. I'm not sure how I want to quilt this just yet. Good thing I have time. I'm getting ahead of myself.
Crocheted goodies are coming together nicely for Sew Loco (less than two weeks away). I love this puff stitch cowl that I created for myself last winter. Short enough that it keeps me nice and warm and doesn't get all caught up in everything and long enough that it's not choking and I can just pull it over my head without messing up my hair or face. Perfect. I thought about keeping it to myself, but thought I'd better go ahead and share it.
I didn't get anymore work done on the sewing machine sew along done. I don't suspect I'll be getting any work done on that for awhile. I still need more patterns to cut tumblers from.
No progress on the Quilts for Kids kit this week either.
I also changed my mind on the fabric I want to use for my friend's baby blanket. I'm switching from Hope Chest to Seaside. She's having a girl, but I've decided to add some more reds and yellows to girl it up a bit more. I think I may start cutting the squares for that this week.
I bought some zippers to make a few zipper pouches. I'm going to make a few for friends and see how that goes. I also came across a business card holder pattern I'd like to try as well as a couple of dress patterns.
I think that's everything. I think I may need to start keeping a running list of all the projects I'm running on. I'm sure there's something else.
